Mumbai : Green Pages presented Sarv Atelier - Rohit K Verma and Sanjeet Anand’s Haute Couture Collection at a glittering fashion show on Thursday, June 18th at JW Marriott. The show was co-sponsored by DLH (Dev Land & Housing Limited), a leading construction company based in Mumbai. The show was organized by Imagination India, an Event Management and Entertainment company.

Some of the top models from India and abroad walked the ramp showcasing the designer duo Sanjeet & Rohit’s Haute Couture Collection. Skillfully combining the Indian motifs, the designer set the stage on fire with their eclectic collection like combining ice and fire in true symbolic extravagance. The models who sashayed the ramp in these creations included Jesse Randhawa, Vanessa (Top Model of The World), Rina Patel (Face of Asia 2008), Nethra Raghuraman, Shonal Rawat, Kavita Kaushik, Mridula Chandrasekar, Priyanka Shah, Noyonika Chatterjee, Moni Kanga Dutta, Anupama Verma. Film Star Kangana Ranaut was the show-stopper at the event.

44. Rakhi Sawant finally selects life partner in reality TV show.

India's first televised 'swayamvar' concluded here late Sunday with item girl Rakhi Sawant choosing Toronto-based Elesh Parujanwala as her life partner in a unique reality TV show.

In NDTV Imagine's 'Rakhi ka Swayamvar', Rakhi made the final choice from the three finalists -- from the original list of 16 contestants in 26 episodes. The other two finalists were young aspirant Manas Katyal and businessman Chhitiz Jain, both from New Delhi.

'I have been watching Elesh from day one. On and off the camera, he has been the same and has really taken care of me. He is everything I was looking for and I am glad to have found him on the Swayamvar. The swayamvar means finding a jeevan saathi (life partner) and I have found Elesh.

'Today is our engagement. I am ready to get married now, but we need to understand each other better off camera. We will soon get married in front of all of you in keeping with all our traditions,' Rakhi said after announcing her choice to a waiting audience across the country.

Decked up in red and gold lehenga-choli by Neeta Lulla and kundan jewellery, Rakhi looked a perfect bride.

Elesh, Manas and Chhitiz too were dressed for the occasion -- in traditional sherwanis and turbans.

In the dramatic finale, she garlanded Elesh -- as the audience clapped on.

The colourful event, held at the Hotel Leela Kampinsky here Sunday, saw a host of celebrities like choreographer Saroj Khan, actors Ravi Kishen and Ram Kapoor, who posed as brothers to the bride, apart from others like Smita Bansal and Sudha Shivpuri in the audience.

I started 17 years to my career as model, but I had to stop for a while for work and studies. I've been given and dedicated to the business world since young, now I turn around to my expectations business dedicated to animals, because I think they are more defenseless than we care and we must devote, and have taken up the career of model and actress.

I have done fashion shows, I have worked as a special figurant for television. I have also done work for various photographers and I am a different image of a website. I love being busy and always have some project to do.

I am very familiar, I love to spend my free time with my family and friends, but usually not much ground to be with them. During this time I have always felt a whole person and all my goals I realia.

My thought is governed not missed opportunities or targets that might later regret not having done, and although this does not come out as expected at least I will have tried.

I consider myself a very cheerful person and very friendly with people.

Bhumika Chheda, daughter of Ajay Chheda and Vasanti Chheda. She has a elder sibling Pratik Chheda.Bhumika was born in Mumbai at Borivali. She completed her nursery there and shifted to Dahanu [Last station of Maharashtra].She did her schooling from one of the best schools in Dahanu,"Jewel of Dahanu" as they call it, named St.Mary's High School. When in Grade 6th, she saw a child actress on television and thought if she could see herself there too. She told her dad about her dreams of becoming an actress. It was only her dad who agreed to her decision of being an artist. The coming Sunday she went for audition of teleserial with her parents and got selected for main lead. Her dad accompanyed her to every shoot of hers. She got her portfolio shoot done in timebeing. She then shot for 18 episodes of serial KAL AAJ AUR KAL, and as they say, luck does'nt favour each time, the serial got shelved. But without losing any hope, she did her 3 months acting course from Akshar film Combines [ company closed now] accompanyed by her dad again.She and her dad used to travel from Dahanu to Andheri every Weekends for her shoots and acting classes. Then one fine day,there was some shoot in Dahanu happening and director spotted her. He called her and asked her if she would do 2 minute role. She agreed and gave her best shot at age of 12. After that she did a lot of print shoots. One of which was Butterscoth chocolate.Throughout this phase of hers, family members still were upset with this decision of hers. Then she left modelling and acting for 2 years as for 9th and 10th grade studies for her. She completed her 10th grade and pased with good percentage. Then in vacations, she got her photoshoot done as she was a bit more matured and young girl from a kiddie look. This turned out to be a boost to her. She contacted coordinators,production house visits and meetings. But as they say, destiny written is what u get. She gave more than 200 auditions but nothing worked out.After that she took admission in one of the best colleges in Mumbai in Thakur college of science and commerce. She used to audition even during her 11th grade. She hardly attended college during 11th grade. She went for one day side shoots. One fine day, while watching television with her dad at home, her dad saw some photogenic competition information on MTV. He insisted her to send her pics. After a week, while surfing channel at relative's house, she saw she was the winner of Miss Photogenic competition and that her Pics were stated the best. Next day,she got call from MTV to shoot for them for Niharika Khan's chunky jewellery. She agreed and went for it.The show was telecasted and she felt as if she was on cloud nine. Her challenge to someone that she would appear on televion succeeded. But auditions did'nt stop. She till then did a Fahion show rehersal for Farah Khan [director]. Auditions were still on. One audition at 5pm and a call at 7 pm that she was selected for Bindaas Channel promo with John Abraham. She did'nt ever in her wildest dreams think that whe would be shooting with John...The hunk...But as they say,hard work pays off. She shot for it. Now She is in 12th grade and will give her board exams. Then she insist on signing films. She says no one from her family supported her for this step except her parents. She thanks them and also her brother for accompanying her to some of her shoots. She also thanks all of them who have liked her, shown trust in her. And last but not the least, thanks God.

Biography
Daughter of famous badminton player, Prakash Padukone, Deepika was born on January 5, 1986. She took to modeling at an early age, while still in college and was a supermodel before she turned to acting. Her height, slenderness and fresh looking face have gone a long way in making her a supermodel and stand out from the crowd.
During her modeling years, Deepika has been the face for almost all the famous Indian brands such as Liril, Dabur Lal powder, Close-Up and Limca. She has received many prestigious modeling offers, which included becoming the brand ambassadorship of the Jewels of India. She hit the international scene when cosmetic giants Maybelline made her their international spokesperson.
At the 5th annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards she was awarded the title Model of the Year. Even though Deepika did not have a big role in the film, but she has been appreciated for her role.
Her freshness is very endearing. On the anvil, currently, is Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk To China opposite Akshay Kumar and opposite Saif Ali Khan in his maiden home production being directed by Imtiaz Ali. Currently Deepika is seeing Ranbir Kapoor. Her previous liaisons have got her a lot of attention as well, specially her relationship with cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who she broke off with before getting involved with Ranbir.
