92. Miss World History.
Miss World started as the Festival Bikini Contest, in honour of the recently introduced swim wear of the time, but was called "Miss World" by the media. It was originally planned as a one-off event. Upon learning about the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, Morley decided to make the pageant an annual event.
Opposition to the wearing of bikinis led to their replacement with more modest swim wear after the first contest. In 1959, the BBC started broadcasting the competition. The pageant's popularity grew with the advent of television.
In the 1980s, the pageant repositioned itself with the slogan Beauty With a Purpose, with added tests of intelligence and personality.[9] However, the competition has been seen as old-fashioned and rather politically incorrect in its native Britain. Despite the global appeal, the show was not broadcast on any major terrestrial British TV network for several years, until Channel 5 aired it in 1998.

Thanks to crazy timelines, hectic schedules and a largely sedentary work life, most of us do not get time for regular exercise. Five working women facing similar hazards bring you their solutions to stay healthy while at work.
Stock up healthy tit bits
I drink green tea instead of normal tea and coffee, either without sugar or with honey. Everyday, I carry two lunch boxes. One that contains rotis, veggies and curd; the other tiffin contains fruits. I also carry digestive biscuits, to snack on. So, I do not eat out at all.
At work, I have stocked my cabinet with nutri bars/cereal bars, to have when I crave for sweets. I never skip breakfast in the morning. This keeps me full for a long time and I end up eating less through the day.
Simi Sailopal, 23, PR executive
Don't be desk stuck
I make sure to get up from my desk and take a walk around the office every 2 hours. To me that is very important, since I spend a lot of hours working on my desk. I feel it’s important to stretch my leg regularly. And it helps!
Prachi Anandpara, 24, Businesswoman
Detox with salads
I never miss my workout at the gym in the morning. Other than that, I avoid fried foods. If I binge, I detoxify the next day. I go on a salad or fruit diet or just have boiled food for a day.
Nargis Panthaky, 53, Bank officer
Work and walk
I make it a point to hit the gym everyday and walk as much as I can. Since my job involves moving around town, I stock myself with food. I carry a normal lunch box with either rotis or rice with veggies, a small bottle of lassi and fruits. I walk from the station to my place of work. Prajakta Shere, 30, Marketing Manager
Small meals do the trick
I avoid fried foods and eat at intervals. It’s healthier to eat small meals every two to three hours. When I feel like snacking, I opt for fruits or curd.
